Stop, reflect, find the new path

I guess that having a professional crisis means that your job is not challenging anymore, maybe monotony has taken over, and although most people can deal with it, when you work doing what you like, what you feel is your vocation, monotony may feel like a dead end.

A professional crisis represents a sudden stop in learning, creating, having fun with your job... yes, I do believe that working can be fun, perhaps not at all times, but when you are doing something that can give you adrenaline rushes without jumping from an airplane or diving with sharks, working is fun.

I've heard a lot of people talk about their experience and how spending too much time working at the same place can force you into a routine, or worst, make a life plan for you that's not of your personal choice, they actually recommend changing jobs every several years (I don't remember if it was 3 or 5)...

I see things differently now, I guess this can never be taken as an objective observation, coming from someone who hasn't spent a complete year in one job in the last 4 years... but I am happy now, pretty satisfied with my current position, and it took me those 4 years to get here, so at this point I guess that's what had to happen, I had to be unstable, to try different things, until I got to this point. Plus, I am sure I will take on a similar path if I find myself stock, confident that I am prepare to do it. That is, at least for me, a valuable lesson.
