Hidden self

She went out that night
after so long
As If time had never passed
She spread her wings, filled with excitement
Without any sight of conventional attachments.

She broke the cords
And pushed the limits
She sang her song
Found her hidden voice
Rebirth of an old self.

And even though fear appeared
And trust was barely near
She went out that night.

I let her fly but not so far
I let her be, whatever she is
Not willing (I think)
To be so free... to fly so high
To fall so hard.
